Risk Analytics
The Risk Analytics function at Ford Motor Credit Company supports the development, evaluation, and deployment of models to support a wide range of business problems, including credit risk assessment at loan origination and fraud identification.
Risk Analytics team has a talented, motivated, innovative group of individuals with an entrepreneurial mindset and a deep interest in data and modeling.
The Risk Analytics Team is looking for a data scientist to assist in all phases of project work, including problem formulation, model development and model deployment. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the brightest global subject matter experts
What you'll do...
- Access and manipulate data from diverse platforms (PC, Linux, Teradata, GCP) to support analytical initiatives
- Build and deploy predictive and explanatory models using appropriate statistical techniques and algorithms to address critical business questions
- Monitor, maintain, and enhance existing operational models, ensuring accuracy, stability, and relevance throughout their lifecycle
- Create insightful metrics and reports to assess model performance, identify trends, and communicate findings to stakeholders
- Deliver timely and accurate descriptive and inferential analyses to provide actionable insights and drive business results
- Identify and evaluate emerging analytical techniques to enhance our ability to solve business challenges
- Present technical information in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring understanding and alignment
- Document all aspects of model development, including methodology, data sources, and validation results, adhering to all relevant governance and regulatory requirements
You'll have...
- Graduate degree in Statistics/ Biostatistics/ Mathematics/ Econometrics/ Operations Research/ Data Science or a field with strong emphasis on quantitative methods and statistical modeling
- Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Operations Research or related quantitative field, coupled with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in predictive modeling
- Demonstrated experience designing and executing statistical analysis in a professional or academic setting
- Proficiency in a range of statistical techniques, including logistic regression, nested logit models, maximum likelihood estimation, linear and non-linear modeling, causal inference, longitudinal analysis, time series forecasting, survival analysis, and multivariate techniques such as PCA, factor analysis and cluster analysis
- Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate and present technical information to a non-technical audience
- Skilled at translating complex quantitative analysis into actionable business insights
- Hands-on experience with SAS, SQL, Python.

This position is a range of salary grades SG5-SG8.
