Junior Data Analyst

Compensation:
COP 2M - 2.6M/month.

El Poblado, Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia.

What makes you a strong candidate:

• You are proficient in data mining and Microsoft Excel.
  
• You are beginner in Looker Studio, Microsoft Power BI, and Tableau.
  
• English - Native or fully fluent.
  

Responsibilities and more:
The Data Analyst is responsible for overseeing client data systems and reporting frameworks, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. This role involves transforming raw data into structured information, which will then be analyzed to generate insights that drive strategic business decisions.

The position requires applying various techniques under different approaches, such as descriptive statistics, exploratory data analysis (EDA), and inferential statistics, to interpret and understand patterns and behaviors within the data.

Responsibilities:

• Gather data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and third-party sources, ensuring proper maintenance of databases and data systems.
  
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability throughout its lifecycle.
  
• Clean data and examine system-generated reports to identify and correct coding errors.
  
• Develop and maintain processes to generate accurate and timely reports that help stakeholders understand and act on key data insights.
  
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex datasets.
  
• Develop dashboards, charts, and visual aids to support decision-making across departments.
  
• Manage and update databases to ensure security, accessibility, and optimal performance.
  
• Identify opportunities to improve data processes and implement enhancements.
  
• Develop automated processes for data extraction.
  
• Design scripts and tools to extract large volumes of data from websites or other digital sources, improving efficiency and accessibility.
  
• Apply statistical techniques to examine data and generate actionable business insights.
  
• Coordinate with management to align business and data priorities.
  
• Work closely with department managers to define data requirements for analysis projects tailored to their unique business processes.
  

Requirements

• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data visualization).
  
• Basic knowledge of any BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
  
• Experience with SQL and databases is a plus.
  
• English level B2+ or C1 (advanced proficiency, able to communicate clearly in a business environment).
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Ability to collaborate with different departments and translate business needs into data-driven insights.
