This a student position that is 4 months in duration starting in May 2025. You must be a student registered in a Canadian College or University.
This position is for students returning to school after their work term or requiring a placement as requirements for graduation. While not required, preference will be given to students enrolled in a registered Co-op program.
Position Overview:

The Customer Insights team is looking for an individual whose analytical mind and curious nature can navigate through a variety of data discovery methods to identify trends and opportunities related to our clients’ claims experience.
As a member of the team, you will use your analytical skills, technical abilities and critical thinking mindset to analyze data, look for trends, and provide insights to help our clients understand their benefit plan experience.
Accountabilities:
Development and support standard reporting and dashboards specific to PSP reporting
Through data and analytics support customer education and decision making in order to enhance the value provided by Canada Life
Identify areas of opportunity to conduct statistical analyses that will provide clients actionable insights
Keep abreast of emerging trends in business analytics, focused on the use of visualization to improve consumption of insights
Qualifications and Competencies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a math aptitude
Strong technical skills, knowledge and experience with SQL and Python is an asset
Knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Power BI is an asset
Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to tell a story with data
Education with a focus in Math/Statistics/Economics/Computer Science
Knowledge of statistics, or related field
Well-developed organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities

The base salary for this position is between $40,300 - $60,400 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
