You will be joining our IB&M Data Engineering team. Here you will be building ETL applications, deploying and managing large-scale, complex big data applications using cloud native technologies.

Working with our stakeholders in the Data and Platform crew, you will help drive our commitments in our Data Strategy to achieve our vision of becoming the best AI Bank in the world to better serve our customers.

You will collaborate with industry leaders to drive forward our mission of revolutionising the fintech landscape. As part of our team, you will be empowered to deliver world-class, competitive banking products and services with unparalleled levels of service and reliability. 

We are interested in hearing from people who

• Have solid hands-on Python Developer experience

• Are comfortable in designing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions

• Have hands-on experience in building Cloud native applications in AWS

• Familiarity with tools like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and other distributed processing frameworks for handling large datasets

• Bring hands-on experience working with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for repeatable AWS deployments

• Have a focus on automation and building efficient systems

• Are knowledgeable of financial markets and, or corporate & institutional lending products will be advantageous

Tech Skills

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We do not expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these, or a willing to learn these skillsets (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team!

• AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate

• AWS Glue, EMR and Lake Formation

• Experience with DBT

• Integration, knowledge of MQs, REST APIs and Kafka

• Python developer experience

• Strong understanding of RDBMS and Data Lakehouse technologies, including Aurora PostgreSQL and Snowflake

• Infrastructure as code using Terraform

• Design and implement secure CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions

• Understanding of ETL data pipelines using Ab Initio will be desirable.
