T&E Data Scientist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical a T&E Data Scientist to support our Travel & Expense (T&E) management function. This role will focus on analyzing expense data, identifying trends, ensuring compliance, and providing insights to optimize corporate travel and expense policies. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience with data visualization tools, and an understanding of corporate expense management systems.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze T&E data to identify trends, anomalies, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track travel and expense spending, policy compliance, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Work with Finance and Procurement teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of T&E expenses.
• Identify areas of potential fraud or misuse and escalate findings to the appropriate teams.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide insights that improve travel policies and expense management practices.
• Support system enhancements and process improvements related to T&E expense tracking.
• Conduct benchmarking analysis to compare company travel and expense trends with industry standards.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on T&E policies based on data insights.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within a finance or travel & expense function.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
• Experience working with expense management systems (e.g., Concur, SAP, Workday).
• Understanding of corporate T&E policies and compliance requirements.
• Previous experience in global T&E data analysis across multiple currencies and regions.
• The ability to effectively communicate insights through storytelling by transforming raw data into actionable decisions.
• Experience in process automation or working with AI-driven expense management solutions.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data modeling.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
