Job Description

Senior Data Scientist

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist with strong experience in Python and R, and a proven track record of developing and deploying machine learning models in real-world business environments.

The ideal candidate is not just academically skilled but has spent a significant portion of their professional career building data-driven solutions on the job. This role requires someone who understands the full lifecycle of a machine learning project—from problem framing, data preparation, model development, and validation, to deployment and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and implement machine learning models to solve complex business problems.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business goals and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Apply expertise in Python and R to manipulate large datasets, build predictive models, and communicate findings.
  • Evaluate model performance using appropriate statistical techniques and iterate based on feedback and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate models into production systems.

Qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on experience in Python and R.
  • Demonstrated success in building and deploying machine learning models in a professional setting (not just academic or personal projects).
  • Solid understanding of data science fundamentals, including supervised and unsupervised learning, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
  • Experience working with real-world data and solving business-critical problems.
