Business Intelligence Analyst

The Business Intelligence Team at Breeze is integral to facilitating data-driven decision-making by ensuring the availability of timely, accurate, and actionable data to all who need it. The Business Intelligence Analyst position will build out the very BI solutions that support profitable execution within the business. Success within this position requires a mix of equal parts technical acumen, tenacity, innovation, and collaboration. The role offers the chance to work across multiple departments and interface with other highly-talented individuals.

Here's what you'll do

• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights to management and operational teams
• Deliver ad-hoc analyses for operational, commercial, and administrative projects
• Build processes and procedures for proper analyses
• Develop dashboards and metrics for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and IT, to ensure data accuracy and support decision-making
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in data analysis and reporting
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various databases
• Create documentation and reports to support data-driven decision-making processes
• Ensure underlying operational databases are complete, accurate, and consistent for full historical reporting and analyses
• Use Python for data cleaning, transformation, and analysis tasks
• Other duties and responsibilities as determined by leadership

Here's what you'll need to be successful

Minimum Qualifications

• Combination of experience and education will be considered
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the aviation industry
• High performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
• Proven experience in writing SQL queries and working with relational databases
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Complete projects on time with minimal supervision, ability to work varied hours when necessary to meet deadlines
• Strong, In-depth understanding of data systems and database technologies (e.g., Snowflake, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
• Proficiency with Power Platform & Power BI Development
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and experience with tools like Postman or similar
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise with SQL
• Proficiency in Power BI/Fabric Administration
• Proficiency in DAX, Data Modeling, and Power Query
