Journeyman Configuration and Data Manager

Job Title: Journeyman Configuration and Data Manager

This role will support the Agile Combat Support Program Training Division with the Vision of, providing the World’s best training systems to the combat forces of today and tomorrow. Duties include:

- Accomplish Configuration Management and Data Management (CM/DM) tasks necessary to support management operations functions within the Directorate.

-Provide an understanding in commercial CM standards and practices to support HQs and/or higher level taskings.

- Assist in reviewing program-unique specifications to include system specifications, development specifications and product specifications for both hardware and software, for proper format, content and compliance with program requirements and appropriate standards; process requests for nomenclature and requests for Computer Program Identification Numbers and track the requests through the appropriate Government agencies for response back to the customer.

- Support the configuration control function, to include receipt, dissemination, processing, tracking and final disposition of ACSNs, ECPs, CCPs, Requests for Deviation/Waiver (RFD/RFW), DRs, airworthiness directive notes, service introductions; review change proposals for thoroughness, configuration and data management impacts and compliance with Government requirements; make appropriate recommendations for Government review and disposition and assist in the preparation and conduct of Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and business management boards.

- Maintain configuration status accounting databases and records to reflect the configuration status of baseline documentation and fielded systems and equipment.

Required Skills/Education:

Three (3) years' experience in functional area and possess a Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to functional area; or seven (7) years in functional area without a degree. At least five (5) years of that experience must have been performed on DoD programs/projects.
