Job Profile Summary 

The Data Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and supporting continuous program improvement. This position manages assessment tools, collects and analyzes performance data, and prepares accreditation reports. The role involves collaborating with faculty and staff on assessment practices, maintaining documentation, and providing data-driven insights to inform curriculum and operational enhancements. The analyst ensures that the institution meets both internal and external assessment and accreditation requirements. 

Major Duties and Responsibilities 

Data Analysis and Reporting 

  • Analyze program performance data and prepare reports for stakeholders, including the Dean’s Office and accrediting bodies. 

  • Create data dashboards and visualizations to communicate assessment outcomes effectively. 

  • Provide data-informed recommendations to enhance college performance such as improved student retention, curriculum enhancements, and operational improvements. 

  • Manage and secure data systems to ensure accuracy and integrity in reporting. 

Accreditation and Compliance 

  • Coordinate and support the preparation of accreditation reports and documentation. 

  • Maintain compliance with accreditation standards by ensuring proper documentation and timely updates. 

  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to meet external accreditation requirements and timelines. 

  • Conduct regular reviews of accreditation policies and guidelines to ensure institutional alignment. 

Assessment Management 

  • Develop and manage assessment tools and processes for continuous program improvement. 

  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of assessment data to inform decision-making. 

  • Coordinate assessment activities across departments to maintain consistency and accuracy. 

  • Support faculty and staff in implementing and understanding assessment practices and tools. 

Strategy and Policy Development and Documentation 

  • Develop guidelines and procedures related to assessment and accreditation activities. 

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on assessment processes, accreditation requirements, and related policies. 

  • Collaborate with academic and administrative units to streamline documentation processes. 

Training and Collaboration 

  • Organize training sessions for faculty and staff on assessment practices and accreditation standards. 

  • Serve as a liaison between the college and other unit across campus on issues regarding accreditation and assessment. 

  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to discuss assessment outcomes and improvement plans. 

Job Requirements 

Education 

Bachelors degree required 
Graduate degree in data or analytics field preferred. 

Experience 

2 to 5 years of related experience 

Licenses or Certifications 

None 

Financial Responsibility 

Makes financial decisions within University or accepted accounting guidelines, including review of financial reports, purchasing decisions, contract review/negotiation, etc.  

Supervision 

No 

Special Knowledge 

Knowledge of Database Development, Airtable, Tableau, Workday, and Microsoft Office suite required.
