Job Description:

We are looking for a BI developer as part of a team to deliver dashboards and reports using PowerBI including atomic/dimension and tabular modelling.

The role entrails: 

Designing, developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions

Design, build and deploy BI solutions Designing and creating SQL stored procedures for ingestions.

Translate business needs to technical specifications

Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting

Evaluate and improve existing BI systems

Collaborate with teams to integrate systems

Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses Create visualizations and reports for requested projects

Develop and update technical documentation

Mandatory skills:

At least 2 years experience of working with SQL Server and preferably SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) using tabular model Understanding and development experience of T-SQL, stored procedure, views etc

Demonstrable experience in the use of PowerBI development tools

Demonstrable experience in the use of ETL and associated tools In-depth knowledge of modelling in Power BI

Demonstrate experience across a range of relational and database technologies, particularly SQL Server. Familiar with coding, preferably C#, PowerShell, .Net scripting but any other coding language

Must be able to demonstrate good analytical skills and a logical approach to problem solving

Pragmatic and detail orientated

Excellent organisational and co-ordination skills

Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing

Amazon Infrastructure, Storage, Compute, VPC Power BI Server for User Dashboard and Reporting

Desirable technical skills:

Amazon MQ integration software Knowledge of Amazon Cloud Services Github Confluence/Jira , Slack Agile principles Data lakes SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for data ingestion and management
