The Data Architect at Argano plays a key role and is responsible for designing, developing, and managing the organization's data architecture. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implementing solutions that align with business goals. They are also responsible for Translating business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Design and implement data models, structures, and processes to ensure optimal data management.
  • Experience with modern cloud-based data solutions, such as data lakehouses.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain data standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Implement data security and privacy measures.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless integration of data architecture with existing systems.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate tools and technologies for data management.
  • Provide guidance and support to data analysts and engineers.

MINIMUM AND/OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field expected.
  • Master's degree or PhD in computer science or software engineering preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-10 years of experience as a Data Architect or similar role.
  • Experience with modern cloud based data solutions, such as data lakehouses.
  • Strong understanding of database management systems.
  • Experience with data modeling and design tools.
  • Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS 
 

  • Data Modeling: Proficiency in creating and maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Lakehouse architecture tools: Expertise in building data solutions in modern lakehouse architecture, with tools such as Data Lakes, Delta tables, Spark, Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake.
  • Database Management: Expertise in working with various database management systems (DBMS) such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or others.
  • Data Integration: Experience in designing and implementing data integration solutions. Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
  • Data Governance and Quality: Ability to ensure data quality and implement data quality frameworks.
  • Data Security: Knowledge of data security best practices and experience implementing data security measures.
  • Programming and Scripting: Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, or others used for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
