The HNTB Digital Transformation Solutions team is responsible for developing advanced analytics products and applying data visualization and statistical programming tools to enterprise data in order to advance and enable the key mission outcomes for our clients. Our team supports all phases of analytic work product development, from the identification of key business questions through data collection and ETL, and from performing analyses and using a wide range of statistical, machine learning, artificial intelligence and applied mathematical techniques to deliver insights to decision-makers. Our practitioners give special attention to the interplay between data and the business processes that produce it and the decision-makers that consume insights.

What You'll Do:

  • Provides insight into leading analytics practices.
  • Designs and leads iterative learning and development cycles.
  • Produces new and creative analytic solutions that will become core work you’re doing.
  • Develops proficiency with data mining, cleaning, aggregation techniques.
  • Works with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
  • Mines and analyzes large datasets, draws insights from data using statistical techniques.
  • Develops custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
  • Uses predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.
  • Develops company A/B testing framework and test model quality.
  • Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, computer engineering, or information systems and 3 years of relevant experience, or
  • Master’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, computer engineering, or information systems and 2 years of relevant experience, or
  • In lieu of education, 7 years of relevant experience

What You'll Bring:

  • Design, develop, and implement leading-edge data sciences models, segmentation, anomaly detection, and optimization solutions.
  • Develop, train, and apply AI and ML solutions to real-world problems.
  • Effectively communicate data analysis, modeling methodology, and results to internal partners and client teams.
  • Work on data sciences projects from inception through completion including, but not limited to, data evaluation, methodology design, data cleansing, data wrangling, feature engineering, processing optimization, results interpretation, and client communication.
  • Conduct data engineering to enable rigorous analysis of data
  • Coordinate with developers, quality assurance teams, and users to test processes and ensure functionality and user acceptance.
  • Support project managers to coordinate resources and ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget, with quality, to the customer's satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We Prefer:

  • Experience as a data scientist or data engineer utilizing languages such as Python, R, SQL, Scala, and Java
  • Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
  • Experience working in a consulting environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Sciences, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering
  • Master’s degree in Data Sciences, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or appropriate field.
  • Transportation Industry experience
  • Consulting experience
  • Ability to travel

The approximate pay range for Minnesota is $76,232.92 - $114,349.38. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
