BMO Capital Markets Corp seeks CM VP-IC Global Markets in New York, NY to provide a markets-based suite of Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) sales and trading solutions to institutional, corporate, and retail clients. Offer a full spectrum of integrated capabilities to deliver leading market insight, quantitative risk management and analytics, market making and execution services to ETF issuer and investor clients. Operate as a key member of the ETF market making team focusing on risk pricing, alpha generation, optimal hedging, and portfolio construction. Manage a liability risk book and is accountable for the risk, profit and loss and limits for the book. Perform analytics, market research, and back-tests to evaluate and refine market making trading strategies for ETF business. Oversee hedging and post-trade operations, ensuring efficient trade execution and risk management. Balance the Bank’s risk appetite with the client needs in making quantitative research proposals. Stay updated on market trends and developments in the ETF space. Continuously pursue and identify potential risk within our business and processes. Work on day-to-day support of the business.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Statistics, Data Science or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus seven (7) years of experience as a quantitative researcher, quantitative analyst, financial analyst, or related position in financial services industry or, alternatively, a Master’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Statistics, Data Science or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience as a quantitative researcher, quantitative analyst, financial analyst, or related position in financial services industry. Must also possess experience in the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Advanced programming in Python, C++ or Java; managing portfolio risk and optimizing using factor risk models; advanced statistical analysis including regression, time-series analysis, and machine learning techniques; using mathematical finance methodologies; and conducting analysis on large financial data sets.

The salary for this specific position in New York, New York is $250,000.00/year.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
