Job Description

As Product Platform Development Lead, you will report to the Technical Data Product Development Lead focusing on scaling our end-to-end data and product strategy for NIQ Marketing Effectiveness. An end to end role spanning, frontend, backend and data-focus, this associate will be responsible for designing data models, building APIs, architecting our data lake, and implementing data pipelining software. This role is expected to lead the organization in this space, helping to bring best-in-class applications & services to life as part of our broader product vision. You will be joining an innovation & client first culture, where creative thinking and entrepreneurial spirit are championed, fostered, and harnessed into the next-gen features of our evolving marketing analytics platform.

  • Lead and manage the development of new features and improvements across the marketing analytics platform, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
  • Contribute to strategic decisions around platform architecture, system capabilities & design, coding standards, and development methodologies.
  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to define user requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Solicit feedback from users and other stakeholders to inform product needs.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and Data Science to integrate the latest marketing science research and methodology into our applications and systems.
  • Utilize programming languages like Python, Go, Rust, or C# to create responsive and high-performing services.
  • Develop unit tests, integration tests, and other testing strategies to ensure the reliability of the platform.
  • Continuously stay up to date with the latest development trends, frameworks, and industry best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues such as L2 support issues, performance optimization, and scaling needs.
  • Foster a culture of innovation & experimentation with the team by serving as a mentor & talent multiplier to peers and juniors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a similar technical role with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and one of Python, Go, or C#.
  • Hands-on experience with orchestration platforms like Airflow, Dagster or Prefect.
  • Solid understanding of application architecture, REST APIs, and modern development workflows (e.g., Git, CI/CD).
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills with a focus on performance optimization
  • Proven experience in leading teams, mentoring developers, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in the marketing technology space or with analytics platforms is a plus

Additional Information

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range:$130,000 - $160,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a Sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
