We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to drive the development of cutting-edge machine learning solutions for our MRV (Measure, Report, and Verify) and decarbonization platform. This role is instrumental in integrating AI, satellite remote sensing, and carbon footprint tracking to support agricultural enterprises, government agencies, and farmers in their sustainability efforts.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the research, development, and deployment of machine learning models for the MRV platform.
• Develop and optimize models for crop classification, yield estimation, soil health analysis, and carbon/GHG emission prediction using satellite and IoT data.
• Process and analyze large-scale satellite imagery to extract meaningful insights.
• Build predictive analytics and recommendation systems to help reduce carbon footprints.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align machine learning solutions with business needs and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the growth of the machine learning team.
• Deploy machine learning models in production environments and develop efficient data pipelines.

Ideal Profile

• 5+ years of experience in Machine Learning or Data Science, with at least 2 years in a leadership or mentorship role.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience working with cloud platforms (AWS).
• Extensive experience with deep learning and computer vision models, including CNNs, LSTMs, and transformers for image and time-series data.
• Hands-on expertise in satellite image processing (e.g., S1, S2, Landsat, Modis) and geospatial data analysis.
• Familiarity with carbon accounting principles and environmental reporting standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
