What will you be doing?

The successful candidate should be highly motivated and results-driven with a passion for the analytics space. The candidate must be able to work independently, as well as actively participate with a collaborative team and be involved in the implementation of technological approaches, architectures and applications used to facilitate the provision and delivery of solutions.

Job Responsibilities

· Designing and implementing prototype statistical/ML methodologies for quantitative analysis of large datasets using R

· Managing and processing large datasets from multiple sources and optimize data pipelines

· Maintaining and extending developed analytics solutions in R

· Acquiring a sophisticated understanding of the market and Circana’s proprietary research techniques.

· Acting proactively in flagging potential critical issues and challenges of the assigned projects to their manager.

Requirements

· B.Sc. in mathematics, statistics, computer science or software engineering

· M.Sc. or Ph.D. in data analysis, machine learning, statistics or similar field

· 5+ years of experience in a relevant role

· Proficient knowledge of the statistical programming language R

· Knowledge of other programming languages, specifically Python and PySpark, is considered an asset

· Experience in propensity models (logistic regression, mixed models, multinomial logit) and multivariate statistical techniques

· Experience in machine learning algorithms (clustering, collaborative filters, association rules etc.)

· Experience with SQL and database management systems

· Proven ability to analyze and manipulate complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from various sources

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills using quantitative approaches

· Exposure to “shiny” package for building web applications in R is considered an asset

· Exposure to customer analytics

· Fluency in English (both written and oral)

· Fulfilled military obligations
