What is this role?

As a Data Engineering Coop at Cirkul, you will gain hands-on experience developing scalable data pipelines, ensuring data integrity, and optimizing data workflows. You will work closely with teams across Retail, Marketing, Customer Service, and Supply Chain to enhance data accessibility and infrastructure. This role is ideal for a motivated, technically skilled individual eager to apply data engineering concepts in a dynamic environment.

What does an average day look like?

Driving Results: Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL pipelines for data processing and transformation.
Taking Ownership: Work with SQL and Python to optimize data workflows and improve performance.
Making Decisions: Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across multiple sources while supporting data governance best practices.
Cultivating Relationships: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Instilling Trust: Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues to maintain system reliability and efficiency.
Customer Focus: Help manage and optimize cloud-based data storage and processing solutions, ensuring seamless data integration.

What background should you have?

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
• Familiarity with Python or other programming languages for data engineering.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL frameworks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
