Lead AI/ML Engineer

The Product Data Science team is seeking a Data Scientist with expertise in Software Engineering and MLOps to harness AI and vast data resources, empowering ADI engineers to develop high-performing, innovative products. The team securely acquires and analyzes real-time device and platform data, supporting ADI's design and development through cutting-edge software tools that streamline data analysis. By leveraging automated data engineering and MLOps solutions, the team integrates scalable, production-ready AI capabilities into device and platform products. 

In this role, you will actively contribute to every stage of our MLOps pipeline and AI-driven application development. You will be responsible for designing scalable AI architectures to drive innovation in smart home solutions. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include prototyping, (re)training, and fine-tuning AI models, integrating them into our products, developing robust MLOps pipelines, and optimizing model deployment. Through in-depth analyses and impactful presentations, you will help shape product design and enhance customer experiences. 

JOB DUTIES:

• Be a respected master of your data science and software engineering craft—be a source of insight and innovation before, during, and after the delivery of models, analyses, and applications
• Influence and drive a smarter, AI-driven Control4 ecosystem and innovative functionality to OvrC-connected products
• Efficiently develop and implement ML solutions to problems in varying domains (e.g., computer vision, dimension reduction, time series, regression, anomaly detection, audio, etc.)
• Develop and implement AI integrations into applications and microservices, ensuring seamless deployment and functionality
• Architect and develop MLOps pipelines to ensure scalable, reproducible, and reliable AI deployments
• Answer complex questions on fleet usage and behavior to enable proactive monitoring, grow reliability, and minimize field failure
• Adapt, learn, grow, and teach to deliver world-class products and solutions
• Work closely with other product engineers to create, interpret, and validate numeric models of fielded and in-test products
• Contribute to the automation, CI/CD integration, and standardization of MLOps pipelines, model versioning, and deployment processes
• Exemplify effective communication

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in data science, software engineering, or machine learning development
• Proven ability to independently develop, integrate, and deploy AI capabilities into applications and microservices
• Strong software engineering skills, including API development, containerization, and distributed computing, ensuring seamless AI integration
• Experience launching, managing, and monitoring consumer-facing AI solutions in production environments 
• Proficiency applying frequentist or Bayesian statistics to test hypotheses and judge confidence levels
• Experience in TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scalable ML model deployment frameworks, with a strong understanding of model (re)training
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, deployment, and integration into applications
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Docker, and Git 
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines for ML models, automation frameworks, and cloud-based AI deployments 
• Experience with AWS and AWS CLI
