As we continue this growth journey, we have an exciting opportunity for a visionary and dynamic Head of Data and Analytics to join our team.   

What You'll Be Doing | Mō te Tūranga

As the Head of Data and Analytics, you’ll lead the transformation of our data strategy and drive data-driven decision-making across the organisation. This senior role involves developing and executing a comprehensive data strategy aligned with NZAA’s goals, overseeing the design and transformation of data infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with data governance and regulatory requirements. You’ll foster a data-driven culture, promote innovation through advanced technologies like AI and machine learning, and connect data insights to improved member and customer experiences. You will lead a high-performing team to stay abreast of emerging technologies, and ensure the ongoing development of data capabilities within the organisation.

About You | Mōu

You’ll have a blend of strong leadership, strategic thinking, and technical expertise. Proven experience managing teams and building executive relationships will be key, with the ability to communicate complex data insights to diverse audiences. You’ll be highly numerate, organised, and skilled at driving innovation through emerging technologies in data analytics. Technically, you should have experience in database management, cloud platforms (AWS and GCP), data engineering, and programming languages like Python or Java. A background in AI/machine learning, data governance, and privacy regulations is essential.
