Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist within the technology sector. In this role, you will be responsible for developing hypotheses, designing, and executing experimental methods, and deriving actionable insights from experiment results. Your analytical skills will extend to analyzing data from pseudo-experiment settings, utilizing techniques like causal inference and look-alike modeling to estimate incrementality from changes.
As part of a team, you’re deeply committed to the two-sided challenge of driving all aspects of the extraction of insights from the inconsistent and intangible world of data and delivering insight to the business leaders. Being aware of how frustratingly valuable web data can be, you’re able to build the skills to collect and interpret that data.
Responsibilities:
Experimentation Strategy & Execution
Design and execute A/B tests, multivariate tests (MVT), and other experimental methodologies.
Develop test hypotheses and structure experiments to provide actionable insights.
Ensure proper test setup, sample size calculations, and statistical rigor in experiment analysis.
Statistical Analysis & Insights
Apply advanced statistical techniques, including Bayesian and Frequentist approaches, hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, and regression modeling.
Conduct power analysis and significance testing to ensure reliable experiment outcomes.
Interpret test results and translate findings into business recommendations.
Web Analytics & Data Insights
Leverage Adobe Analytics to analyze user behavior, identify trends, and generate experiment ideas.
Provide insights into digital performance and customer journeys to optimize conversion rates.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity in analytics and reporting.
Visualization & Reporting
Create dashboards and reports using Tableau (nice to have) or other visualization tools to track experiment results and communicate findings.
Present insights to stakeholders in a clear and impactful manner.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with product, marketing, and analytics teams to align experimentation with business goals.
Educate stakeholders on best practices in A/B testing and statistical significance.
Champion a data-driven culture and experimentation mindset within the organization.
Qualifications:
6+ years of hands-on experience in A/B testing and experimentation, with a proven track record of driving business impact through testing.
Strong statistical background – expertise in hypothesis testing, statistical significance, power analysis, and experiment design.
Proficiency in Adobe Analytics (required) and web analytics tools for data analysis and experiment tracking.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Experience with Tableau (nice to have) or other data visualization tools for reporting.
Proficiency in SQL & Python/R for data extraction and analysis is a plus.
Excellent communication skills to present complex statistical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple experiments simultaneously.
Pay:
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $110,000 to $160,000. In addition, for the current performance period, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
Benefits:
As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms. The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a “free time” PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take time needed for either sick time or vacation.
