Senior Manager Data Analytics

The Senior Manager of Global Field Analytics & Insights is a strategic leadership role focused on driving data-driven decision-making and operational excellence across Smith+Nephew’s global business. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive analytics roadmap creating global critical metrics and standards around how our regional distribution centers and Operations Service Centers (OSC) support loan and field inventory management around the world.

What will you be doing?

• Manage and mentor a team of data analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align analytics strategies with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, data governance standards, and access management.
• Lead development of dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, and Alteryx.
• Standardize global analytics processes and implement data governance standard methodologies.
• Drive inventory, cost, and performance analysis leading to business optimization.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to identify business challenges and deliver actionable insights.
• Ensure high-quality data management, compliance, and security across all analytics platforms.

• Apply machine learning, clustering, and predictive analytics to identify process improvements and performance gaps.

• Introduce and expand the use of Python and advanced data science tools within the Analytics team.
• Drive the creation of centralized data lakes to improve global data accessibility.
• Evaluate and recommend new analytical tools and technologies to drive data innovation.

What will you need to be successful?

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years leading a global analytics team.
• 5+ years of business intelligence experience, preferably in medical device, biotech, or supply chain analytics.
• Expertise in SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake, SAS, and Alteryx.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning models, forecasting, and customer segmentation.
• Exceptional ability to translate complex data into clear, executive-level insights.
• Experience in data security, compliance, and governance within analytics platforms.
• Strong leadership, communication, and partner management skills.

Must have CTBS certification or must be able to achieve the certification within one year of employment or next certification cycle

Bachelor’s degree or RN combined with at least five years of experience in tissue banking/transplant and two years of supervisory experience.

Experience with birth tissue acquisition preferred.
