What you'll be doing
As a member of the Talent Management team, you’ll work in a fast-paced and collaborative culture where you’ll make a meaningful difference in enhancing organizational performance, and the employee experience and advance CIBC’s overall corporate strategy.
Talent Management involves talent selection and assessment, HR strategic planning, talent management consulting, coaching & leadership development, training, team development, and succession planning in alignment with organizational goals. The role of a Talent Management Advisor is to help shape the careers of individuals.
As a Talent Management Advisor, you’ll foster key relationships with strategic business units, understand their overall function and roles, provide strategic guidance, and recommend the right solutions that will enable their success. You’ll be located in Chicago, IL to work at our US headquarters to help deliver a great client experience.

How you’ll succeed
Build partnerships by understanding personal and professional goals throughout the talent journey.
Collect and analyze data to align talent needs with business strategy and enhance organizational capabilities.
Drive talent analytics initiatives and facilitate talent reviews to evaluate and develop candidates and employees.
Analyze assessment results to identify strengths and development areas, designing solutions for skill gaps and leadership development.
Provide consulting services and partner with leaders across entities to support talent planning and development initiatives.
Evaluate and recommend efficiencies in Talent Management processes while coordinating initiatives and aligning with Learning & Development.
Build succession plans, manage talent movement, and collaborate with Talent Acquisition to attract diverse candidates.
Who you are

You have a Master’s degree in Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
You can demonstrate experience in Organizational Development or a related field. It’s an asset if you have familiarity with talent management concepts and designing enablement plans.
You are proficient in organizational research methodology, statistics, predictive analytics, and statistical software (e.g., Python, R, SPSS). You perform advanced statistical analyses to improve current models and identify trends relevant for current and future Talent Management objectives.
You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of information. You communicate detailed information in a meaningful way. You have a fundamental understanding of data and statistical analysis and familiarity with statistical programs.
You're passionate about people. You find meaning in relationships and surround yourself with a diverse network of partners. You connect with others through respect and authenticity.
You are skilled in evaluating and coaching leaders at various levels, contributing to employee development initiatives and succession planning.
You are proficient in utilizing assessment data to inform critical decisions, discern readiness, strengths, growth needs, and alignment with company and role requirements.
You have at least 5-7 years of experience in developing and implementing comprehensive assessment solutions, including selection processes, personality tests, behavioral interviews, coaching, 360-surveys, self-assessments, success profiles, role-based assessments, and role-specific simulations.
At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $100,000 - $120,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
