Who we are

X is looking for exceptionally talented and open minded analysts to join the Analytics team. Our team is the foundation for driving data informed decisions across the Sales & Marketing Org. We partner with Sales, Sales leadership, Marketing, Product and our broader operations teams to provide the insights that drive growth, efficiency and innovation.

What you’ll do

The Product analyst sits next to the Product team in Palo Alto to understand how our products are implemented and improved. You will partner closely with X’s Engineering team to analyze and report on performance metrics and user data for new product roll outs. You’ll ensure the Sales & Marketing teams are able to execute on your insights and improve the way they do business. 

You will:

  • Develop key insights into user and advertiser behavior, user journey, product usage, and churn to drive ongoing innovation and shape the future of X’s ad products

  • Partner with Engineering to measure the impact of product releases and/or feature changes on the overall business landscape and inform product strategy

  • Provide data and analysis support for product A/B tests, playing a pivotal role in data-driven decision-making for product changes.

  • Democratize the availability of product performance data to enable (self-serve) data-driven business decisions

  • Engage directly with leadership across the Sales & Marketing org to understand the drivers of their business

Who you are

  • You are keen to understand the business and able to translate business questions into technical requirements and actionable insights 

  • You can effectively communicate with different functions (engineering, data science, operations teams and non-technical functions)

  • You have experience with Know Your Customer (KYC) frameworks, ideally in a digital environment

  • You are proactive and autonomous in your work

Requirements

  • Master, Post-graduate or PhD in statistics, mathematics, computer science, machine learning, information retrieval, engineering, operations research, or other quantitative discipline; or equivalent work experience.

  • 5+ years of (product) analytics experience, working with large scale data pipelines, end-to-end data science solutions, and customer behavior analytics 

  • Highly proficient in SQL and Spark in large data environments

  • Experience with at least one programming language (Python, Scala etc)

  • Vast experience in Tableau or other data visualization tools

  • Strong experience with data modeling

  • Demonstrated experience analyzing data and telling a story that helps align cross-functional leaders and execs
