Data Engineer to Savings Offering at SEB in Stockholm

About the role The Data and Integrations team within Savings Offering is looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our transformation journey to develop a new savings investment platform. You will focus on building scalable and secure services to handle data. Your role involves leading the creation of pipelines to integrate data from various sources, including databases, mainframe systems, APIs, and message queues. You will work in the Google Cloud Platform environment and be involved in decision-making and technical guidance for the Savings Investments tribe. 
Key responsibilities: • Build scalable and secure services for data within and outside the Savings Investment area. • Implement the technical roadmap for SEB's journey to Google Cloud Platform. • Collaborate with architects, developers, and stakeholders. • Participate in code reviews, mob programming, and knowledge sharing.   We use a wide range of technologies, and the followings serve only as an example:  • Container-based technology: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and others.  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP).  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform. • API development: GraphQL, REST APIs, Swagger. • Programming languages: Python and bash scripts.  • Databases: BigQuery, PostgreSQL, Redis or any relational, non-relational, in-memory databases that are suitable for the work. • DevSecOps tools. 

To thrive in this role, we believe you have: We are seeking a skilled data engineer with a technical background in data integration, pipelines, and management. You should be a team player with great communication skills, a positive mindset, and the ability to collaborate and motivate others in a multicultural environment. 
Key qualifications: •Several years of software development experience and some experience with Cloud, preferably Google Cloud Platform. • Ability to navigate GCP services, discuss them in detail, and quickly prototype designs. • Understanding of system design and data structures. • Forward-thinking mindset to drive change and continuous improvement. • Analytical mindset to tackle complex business and technical challenges with the team's help. We aim to lead SEB's digital transformation towards GCP and expect you to drive your work and potentially lead the technology within the team
