Bright Vision Technologies has an immediate opportunity for a Power BI Developer based out of Plano, TX.

Job Title: Power BI Developer / Data Visualization Specialist
Location: Plano, TX (Onsite)
Duration: Long term (W2 contract)

Job Summary:
Client is seeking a Power BI Developer / Data Visualization Specialist to develop interactive dashboards and reports that help stakeholders make data-driven decisions. This role requires expertise in Power BI, data modeling, and visualization design to transform complex datasets into meaningful insights.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for internal and customer-facing use.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into effective data visualization solutions.
• Design and implement data models using Power BI DAX and Power Query to ensure accuracy and performance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, including analysts and executives, to provide actionable insights.
• Optimize report performance, ensuring best practices in data modeling and visualization.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and governance within the Power BI environment.
• Troubleshoot and enhance existing reports based on business feedback.
• Train and support end-users in utilizing Power BI for decision-making.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Power BI development, including report creation and data modeling.
• Proficiency in Power BI DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service.
• Strong understanding of data visualization principles and UI/UX best practices.
• Experience in SQL and relational databases such as SQL Server or MySQL.
• Ability to work with large datasets and optimize report performance.
• Familiarity with ETL processes, data transformation, and data warehousing concepts.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with other BI tools like Tableau or QlikView.
• Knowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics.
• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud environments.
