ABOUT THE TEAM 

In this internship role, you will be reporting to the People Analytics Leader and will be working closely with 2 members of the team that are responsible for corporate and business people reporting, employee engagement and the Ei&D data strategy.  

The People analytics team is a new agile team that works collaboratively by bringing our diverse perspective and complementary skills to design exceptional solutions for our various stakeholders. Our vision is to provide analytics and insights to PSP, HR and the Business that help guide people strategies and decisions. 

ABOUT YOUR ROLE 

As an Intern, People Analytics you’ll:  

  • As a member of our People Analytics team, you will be responsible for supporting members of the team and key HR partners with analysis of employee data to provide insights that help inform data-driven people decisions and strategies 

  • Additionally, you'll partner with various HR teams to run analyses, design reports and provide insights on ad-hoc requests to help address people challenges (example: what is driving turnover, what are factors that impact promotions, map out the employee experience across diversity segments and highlight key differences, etc.) 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED 
  • Currently pursuing a Masters in Analytics, Data Management or Data Science 

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Python or R, PowerBI 

  • High proficiency with MS Office tools (including Excel) 

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills (able to show insight from data using visuals and key highlights) 

  • Ability to work independently on a project and collaboratively within a team 

  • Accountability and results-driven approach 

  • Strong work ethic and integrity (especially in dealing with sensitive personal employee data) 

  • Proficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn) *Frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa

  • Must return to studies after the internship or the internship must be part of your curriculum 

  • Candidates must have the right to work in Canada* for the period specified to be considered for this position.  No support to obtain the right to work will be provided

  • Interest in Human Resources  

  • *Options include Canadian citizenship, permanent residency or a valid open work permit.
