We’re the creators of Qdrant – a high-performance, open-source vector database designed for scalable similarity search and AI-powered applications. Qdrant is used by developers, startups, and enterprises building next-gen solutions in search, recommendation, and LLM-powered systems. As the adoption of AI accelerates, so does the need for developer-friendly, production-ready vector infrastructure. That’s where you come in.

Tasks

We’re looking for a Developer Relations Manager to lead our DevRel strategy, grow our community, and make Qdrant the go-to vector database for developers around the world. You’ll work at the intersection of engineering, community, and marketing — empowering developers, amplifying voices, and building lasting relationships through content, events, and hands-on collaboration.

This is a high-impact role where you'll represent Qdrant both online and at in-person events, while helping shape the future of our open-source ecosystem.

  • Lead and grow our DevRel function: Define the strategy, roadmap, and key metrics for Developer Relations at Qdrant.
  • Build community engagement: Foster an inclusive, vibrant developer community via Discord, GitHub, forums, and other channels.
  • Create high-quality content: Write blogs, produce technical tutorials, build sample apps, and make video walkthroughs showcasing how to use Qdrant in real-world AI/ML projects.
  • Be a technical advocate: Speak at conferences, host meetups, run webinars, and engage with developers to promote best practices and innovation around vector search and Qdrant.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with Engineering, Product, and Marketing to share community feedback and influence roadmap priorities.
  • Mentor and grow the DevRel team (as we scale): Help recruit, onboard, and guide Developer Advocates, Content Creators, and Community Managers.
  • Measure what matters: Track engagement, adoption, and DevRel KPIs to continuously improve our outreach and impact.

Requirements

  • Experience in Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, or Technical Evangelism (ideally at an open-source or developer-first company).
  • Deep understanding of developer needs, trends, and workflows — especially in the AI, data, or infrastructure space.
  • Hands-on experience with modern AI/ML tools, vector databases, or embedding-based search (bonus if you’ve used Qdrant!).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for turning complex technical topics into approachable content.
  • Experience building technical demos, contributing to open-source, or working with developer communities.
  • Proactive, self-starter attitude with strong organizational and leadership skills.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience leading or scaling DevRel teams.
  • Experience with Python, Jupyter notebooks, REST/gRPC APIs, and relevant ML libraries (e.g., Hugging Face, LangChain, PyTorch).
  • Public speaking experience at tech conferences, podcasts, or livestreams.
  • Familiarity with content marketing, SEO, or community growth strategies.

Benefits

  • Help shape the future of search and AI infrastructure.
  • Be part of a fast-growing open-source project with global traction.
  • Work with a world-class team of engineers, researchers, and community builders.
  • Competitive salary, equity options, and remote-first flexibility.
  • Huge creative freedom to build, experiment, and lead.
