Program Technical Lead, New York

Lab49 is seeking an Executive-level DevSecOps Leader to drive enterprise-wide security, automation, and compliance across cloud-native and on-premises software development environments. This role requires a visionary technology leader who has a proven track record of leading enterprise transformations and devising target-state enterprise architectures. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud platforms, enterprise architecture, and security strategy, particularly within the financial services industry. You will work closely with senior leadership to define and implement a transformative vision, ensuring the secure, scalable, and high-performance delivery of systems in highly regulated environments. 

Responsibilities:

• Define the Enterprise DevSecOps Vision: Collaborate with senior leadership to define the target-state enterprise vision for DevSecOps and cloud infrastructure automation, ensuring alignment with business and technology goals. 
• Develop and Lead Enterprise Transformation: Drive the enterprise transformation process by developing strategies for cloud adoption, data center modernization, and technology-driven business innovations across financial services. 
• Strategic DevSecOps Leadership: Formulate and execute the enterprise DevSecOps strategy, integrating security practices seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and development operations. 
• Cloud Security & Regulatory Compliance Leadership: Oversee the implementation of security automation, vulnerability scanning, and compliance monitoring while ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, and GDPR. 
• AI/ML & GenAI Integration: Lead the implementation of AI/ML initiatives, particularly in the realm of GenAI innovation and MLOps within regulated financial environments. 
• Security Architecture & Risk Management: Provide senior-level leadership in identity and security architecture, specializing in cryptographic enablement, IAM automation, and multi-party computation infrastructure. 
• Cross-functional Leadership: Partner with platform, security, development, and operations teams to drive security automation, DevSecOps adoption, and architectural improvements across the organization. 
• Digital Transformation & Risk Mitigation: Lead digital transformation initiatives across insurance, banking, and asset management sectors, focusing on risk management, regulatory compliance, and technology innovation. 
• Tool & Framework Adoption: Drive the adoption of cutting-edge security tools, automation frameworks, and industry-leading practices to improve security and DevSecOps capabilities across the organization. 

Requirements:

• Senior Technology Leadership: 10+ years of senior leadership experience in security engineering, cloud security, DevSecOps, or enterprise architecture within high-performance technology environments. 
• Cloud Expertise: Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise cloud architecture, including data center modernization and cloud migration for financial services. 
• AI/ML Expertise: Proven experience in driving AI/ML innovation, including GenAI, MLOps, and machine learning initiatives, particularly within regulated environments. 
• Security Architecture Expertise: Deep knowledge of identity and security architecture, cryptography, IAM automation, and multi-party computation. 
• Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in financial services and capital markets, with a focus on security frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST). 
• Engineering & Cloud Security: Expertise in engineering and security disciplines including DevOps, DevSecOps, platform engineering, containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), microservices, and cloud security. 
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible), security tooling (SAST, DAST, SIEM), and scripting (Python, Go, Bash). 
• Risk Management & Threat Mitigation: Strong track record of leading proactive risk management, threat modeling, and mitigation efforts within highly regulated sectors such as financial services.

• Cloud Migration & Modernization: Proven ability to lead cloud architecture design, migration, and modernization efforts within large, complex organizations. 
• Security Engineering Leadership: Demonstrated leadership in driving security initiatives in cloud-native, hybrid, and on-premises environments. 
• Cross-disciplinary Leadership: Exceptional ability to manage and mentor teams across various technical disciplines, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. 
• Strategic Communication: Proven ability to communicate complex security and technology concepts to both technical and business leaders at the executive level.
