About the role
Join the Survey Data Processing team in the Housing Economics and Insights sector, in the Senior Analyst, Information Business Systems and Statistics position. As part of this role, you will process data from various sources and also provide the delivery of services and products to corporate clients, through effective systems analysis and design, modeling, programming and, data manipulation.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Identify opportunities to enhance the utilization of computer technology for data access and data processing. Develop and implement processes to achieve improvements.
  • Perform programming and quantitative analysis on policy issues and specific task forces using both Corporate and external databases, as requested by external clients or corporate analysts.
  • Conduct analysis and research when working on tasks for clients, developing new products, or re-engineering data tables.
  • Introduce and follow existing processes to ensure all disseminated products contain accurate data and are of high quality. This includes but is not limited to analyzing data, data tables and cross-verifying reports.
  • Develop and document business rules and data quality metrics to track and report on data quality within established corporate data governance/quality frameworks.
  • Integrate, assimilate and reconcile data from alternate sources, analyzing and disseminating results for input into requests from external clients or corporate analysts.
  • Manage and complete multiple simultaneous projects for various clients using project management skills, and participate in team settings requiring work on multiple projects.

 

What you should have:

  • Undergraduate degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science or related field.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience in data processing or business systems.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in programming languages for data manipulation and analysis such as R or Python or SAS.  
  • Working knowledge of data structures (eg. databases, data governance, data warehousing).
  • Well-developed qualitative and quantitative analysis skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to undertake and complete multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently or on a team.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills.
