Senior Software Engineer - Data and Operations (Brno Office, Czech Republic)

The Red Hat Data and Operations team is looking for an Engineer to join us. In this role, you will use many DevOps disciplines, including infrastructure as code, Virtualization, and Cloud technologies. You'll be responsible for supporting a large community of developers and quality engineers. As a part of our team, you will also develop software to promote system integration. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside some of the brightest engineers in open source.

What you will do

• Design, enhance, integrate, and maintain the CI and test case management system toolset according to relevant needs.
• Stay in continuous communication with internal customers, gathering requirements, leading workgroups, and delivering progress reports.
• Maintain updated technical documentation, e.g., environment diagrams, workflows, and processes.

What you will bring

• Extensive working experience with Linux (command line), source control management (e.g., Git) and continuous Integration engines (e.g., Jenkins)
• Familiarity with a scripting language. (e.g. Python, Perl, Bash, Ruby; other languages will also be considered)
• Solid innovation skills and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to work on your own in a fast-paced environment with a globally distributed team
• Written and verbal communication skills; fluent English language skills
• Experience with the following (or comparable) technologies like Cloud (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, OpenStack, AWS) and Configuration Management (e.g Ansible, Chef) is a big plus
