Our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) & DevOps team is responsible for ensuring the stability, reliability, and scalability of our cloud-native infrastructure. We work at the intersection of software development and operations to automate deployment, monitoring, and incident response, enhancing the overall engineering efficiency. Your role at Sephora:

As an Associate Software Engineer in the SRE, DevOps & AI/ML Observability team, you will be responsible for implementing and optimizing automation, monitoring, and deployment pipelines. Additionally, you will contribute to AI-driven observability initiatives to enhance predictive monitoring and anomaly detection. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance using AI/ML models, troubleshoot system issues, and improve operational insights in a cloud-native environment. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in AI-driven observability, cloud operations, and modern DevOps practices.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Terraform to streamline software delivery.
  • Implement and enhance monitoring solutions using AI/ML-driven techniques with Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and other analytics tools.
  • Support and optimize Kubernetes-based microservices running on Azure or AWS cloud platforms, ensuring AI/ML workloads run efficiently.
  • Develop and apply AI/ML models for trend analysis, anomaly detection, and predictive monitoring to proactively address reliability issues.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to monitor system health and resolve incidents using automation and AI-driven observability tools.
  • Assist in implementing security best practices within CI/CD pipelines and AI models, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.

 

We're excited about you if you have:

  • 2+ years' experience in software engineering, preferably DevOps or SRE or AI/ML 
  • 2+ years' proficiency with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD.
  • 2+ years' familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Experience with monitoring and AI-powered Tool & Frameworks
  • Proficiency in programming and machine learning skills. Preferably in Java, Sprint Boot, React, Python, etc.

The annual base salary range for this position is $114,120.00 - $126,800.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.  Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.  Sephora offers a generous benefits package to full-time employees, which includes comprehensive health, dental and vision plans; a superior 401(k) plan, various paid time off programs; employee discount/perks; life insurance; disability insurance; flexible spending accounts; and an employee referral bonus program.
