The Role
As the Data Analysis and Insights Chapter, we support the Data Domain by blending expertise in business intelligence and analytics with a passion for delivering results. In an agile structure, we partner with squads and business partners to deliver specific product features and ensure respective products or services are designed to the optimal standard. We ensure alignment on the 'what' and 'when' work is to be performed through ongoing planning and prioritization of a product backlog. We collaborate as squad members and work iteratively, innovate through testing and experimentation and learn from failures while celebrating success. We are committed to developing our own expertise and knowledge to ensure we bring the latest thinking to our roles.
The Manager, Data Analysis and Insights acts as a domain expert who proposes and delivers targeted research and analytics required to support business decision making. This role participates in multiple projects and has strong business intelligence technical skills. This role serves as a strong business communicator with senior leaders, sponsors, and peers, collaborating with them to create key findings for moderately sophisticated business problems. The Manager is an individual contributor and does not directly oversee staff.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelors or equivalent Degree with 4+ years of experience working with business intelligence solutions
Passion for using data in creative ways that tell a story and drive an impactful result
Experience developing practical business insight solutions, providing recommended courses of action, and influencing decision makers
Demonstrated experience in analytical thinking, influencing, problem solving, verbal and written communications
Experience with data workflow tools, solid understanding of data and database concepts, tools, and technologies
Experience serving as a change agent and influencer helping end users adopt innovative approaches to business intelligence and the usage of data
Knowledge and applied professional experience with one or more BI (Business Intelligence) and analytical tools such as Tableau and Power BI
Experience with writing and decoding SQL
Takes a consultative approach understanding needs of others and regularly communicating ideas or suggestions in terms that lead to actionable outcomes
Using fact-finding, effective questioning techniques, and diagnostic tools to identify and analyze problems
Developing and implementing ad-hoc queries to research and understand factors that may be impacting business performance
Agile experience, preferred
Presentation experience to Senior Leadership, preferred
Financial services experience, preferred
