Your role

We’re seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our dynamic People Analytics team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing our new cloud data warehouse solution using Microsoft Fabric. By enabling seamless data integration and supporting advanced analytics, you will play a pivotal part in empowering our organization to make data-driven workforce decisions.

This is a contract position for a period of 1 year.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, transform, and store data in Microsoft Fabric.

  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency by implementing rigorous validation and governance standards.

  • Optimize the performance and efficiency of the cloud data warehouse for analytics and reporting purposes.

  • Develop and implement security protocols to safeguard sensitive HR and workforce data.

  • Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and updates related to Data Warehousing.

What we’re looking for?

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in designing and implementing cloud-based data solutions.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric (or experience with similar cloud data warehouse platforms such as Azure Synapse or Snowflake).

  • Advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience with ETL frameworks and tools.

  • Solid understanding of data modeling, architecture, and integration techniques.

  • Experience working with HR or people-related data is a strong plus.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

  • Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Bilingual: French and English is an asset.

If you’re passionate about shaping data solutions that drive business impact and want to work on a cutting-edge cloud platform, we’d love to hear from you!

Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.

We thank all applicants for their interest, but only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.

As part of our recruitment process, candidates who advance to the next
