Pierre Fabre Laboratories are hiring a Data Governor/Steward to join the IT & Infrastructure team of the R&D Medical Care in Toulouse (Oncopole, Langlade site).

Our BU Medical Care division is at the forefront of innovative research and development in the pharmaceutical industry. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Governor/Steward to join our R&D IT team on an external basis.
The Data Governor/Steward will establish and maintain data governance practices within the R&D department at Pierre Fabre Medical Care. This role ensures data quality, integrity, and accessibility, supporting the company’s data-driven strategy. Responsibilities include building the data governance council, developing data dictionaries and thesaurus, organizing data end-to-end, and training R&D staff on data governance principles. The role also involves managing data related to external collaborations and deals, promoting data as a shared asset, and ensuring adherence to FAIR principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Governance:
- Develop and lead the data governance council.
- Create and maintain data governance policies and procedures.
- Evaluate and implement tools needed to support data governance.
- Promote data as a shared asset.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and data privacy requirements.
- Lead change management initiatives to embed data-driven decision-making.
Data Stewardship:
- Create and maintain data dictionaries, thesaurus, and metadata repositories.
- Train and educate R&D staff on data governance principles.
- Facilitate data sharing and collaboration across functional areas.
- Manage data related to external collaborations and deals.
- Ensure adherence to FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable).
Collaboration and Training:
- Work with various teams to identify and create valuable data products.
- Support the integration of internal, external, and public data.
- Design and deliver training programs to improve data literacy.
This position is compatible with teleworking up to 2 days a week.

Orchestrer la consolidation et le partage des données de référence entre les métiers, afin de contribuer à la gouvernance des données du Groupe
Sécuriser la qualité des données sur le périmètre confié, afin d’assurer leur mise à disposition auprès des utilisateurs dans le respect des règles et contraintes énoncées par les Data Owners.
- Assurer l’exhaustivité, la fiabilité et la cohérence des données et métadonnées, et en éviter l'obsolescence, en mettant en œuvre des processus systématique de maitrise et de vérification des données, et les rendre accessibles aux utilisateurs
- Assurer une vigilance particulière sur les opérations critiques pour les données
les données selon leur niveau de sensibilité
- Qualifier la donnée en fournissant à l’utilisateur le plus d’informations possible sur chaque Dataset: nom d’origine, taille, dates de modification, provenance, niveau de confiance et statut de la donnée,
- Identifier la donnée maitre et les KPI associés
- Organiser et piloter l’amélioration continue de la qualité des données.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in data governance, data management, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Fluency in French and a minimum C1 level in English
