We are seeking a talented Senior Business Analyst (Senior Product Manager I) specializing in Master Data Management (MDM) to join the Enterprise Data Governance Tech & Master Data Management team. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing and implementing data governance and mastering solutions that drive data quality, consistency and operational efficiency across our firm. 

As part of a dynamic team of business analysts and developers, you will focus on building governance frameworks, matching and workflow automation processes, and integration solutions. Your contributions will help our clients optimize business operations, improve decision-making, increase sales, reduce costs, and streamline processes. You will also support the technical management of the firm’s Data Catalog and data quality applications. 

Responsibilities: 
 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, developers and business analysts to design, document and implement comprehensive Master Data Management and Data Governance solutions. 

  • Work closely with members of the team and stakeholders to analyze and document requirements related to Master Data Management including data definition, attributes, relationships and business rules.

  • Design, implement and maintain master data governance frameworks and processes to ensure data quality and consistency on the firm’s enterprise data management tool, Markit EDM.

  • Analyze existing processes and workflows, identify gaps and recommend improvements, document detailed business requirements and use cases to enhance performance.

  • Lead efforts in data validation, user acceptance testing and certification of data for use by business applications.

  • Support the technical operations of data catalog, data lineage, and data glossary tools ensuring effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.  

  • Work on prioritized tasks to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality results.  

  • Conduct ad-hoc data analysis and present findings clearly to stakeholders. 

  • Collaborate in a success-oriented environment while contributing to the achievement of team objectives.  

Qualifications: 
 

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is strongly preferred. 

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience working as a Business Analyst, preferably in Master Data Management and Markit EDM.

  • Hands-on experience with client, security, issuer, or legal entity data is a plus. 

  • Proficiency in SQL, data modeling and ETL processes.

  • Understanding of the financial services and asset management industry.

  • Strong desire to learn and grow in fast-paced, innovative environment.  

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across business and technical teams. 

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects concurrently. 

  • Experience collaborating with Data Governance stakeholders and in Agile environment is a plus. 

  • Experience with data catalog tools (e.g. Collibra), data quality tools (e.g. Datactics) and Tableau experience is highly desirable.

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $120,000-$165,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
