The Role & What You Will Be Doing
As a member of the SECE organization, The Data Operations Intern will be responsible for managing and governing data for the commercial organization. This role involves ensuring data quality, overseeing operational vendor management and administration, handling data ingestion and integration, maintaining documentation and data catalogues, and operating ongoing regular reporting. The Data Operations Intern will support the broader analytics team with data operations activities, enabling them to focus on business partnering, and product and solution development.
This role is dynamic, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and covers a broad range of topics that are critical to our business. The successful candidate will support business transformation through their analytical capabilities and their ability to communicate complex and dynamic information.

Manage and govern data for the commercial organization
Ensure data quality and integrity
Oversee operational vendor management and administration
Handle data ingestion and integration processes
Maintain documentation and data catalogues
Operate ongoing regular reporting
Support the broader analytics team with data operations activities
Describe relevant caveats in data and how they relate to business questions and outcomes
Timely and accurate circulation of data and reports as needed
Accountable for meeting compliance and Corporate SOP obligations
Partner with SECE and other analytics teams to adapt global strategies to the UK
About Your Skills & Experience
For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
Data Management and Governance: Ability to develop and implement data management strategies, ensuring data is accurate, consistent, and secure.
Project Management: Strong skills in planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives.
Data Quality Assurance: Proficiency in ensuring that data meets the required quality standards, including accuracy, completeness, reliability, and timeliness.
Data Integration: Experience in combining data from different sources to provide a unified view, ensuring seamless data flow and accessibility.
Vendor Management and Administration: Ability to manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring they meet contractual obligations and deliver quality services.
Documentation and Data Catalogue Maintenance: Skill in maintaining comprehensive documentation and data catalogues, ensuring data is well-organized and easily accessible.
Analytical Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify issues, analyze data, and develop effective solutions.
Communication and Teamwork: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders, ensuring clear and concise information sharing.
Proactive Self-Starter: Takes an active role in one’s own professional development; stays abreast of analytical trends, and cutting-edge applications of data
Recent graduate with a degree in Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Familiarity with data operations in a commercial or pharmaceutical setting is a plus.
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
