What is this position about?  


You will be working alongside a skilled Data Science team dedicated to managing and processing financial data from various third-party sources. Your role will be crucial in ensuring accurate and timely data imports to support key business decisions.

In this role, you will import financial data into Snowflake from multiple sources, ensuring it adheres to predefined formats. You will refine and structure the data to meet specific requirements while conducting preliminary checks to verify data integrity, completeness, and financial plausibility.

Additionally, you will contribute to data pipeline-related tasks, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with the team to optimize data workflows. Staying up to date with industry best practices, you will help improve processes and ensure efficient data handling in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

You may work 100% remotely if you are currently living in LATAM, or you can always join us at the office!

Job Description

  • Import data into Snowflake from various sources, including S3, BigQuery, xlsx, and SFTP, among others.
  • Transform and standardize data to match predefined formatting requirements.
  • Perform data validation to ensure financial data accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues related to data ingestion and transformation.
  • Monitor and maintain data pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable processing.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and formatting needs.
  • Assist with general data engineering tasks when not working on high-priority projects.
  • Ensure timely delivery of critical data imports.
  • Optimize data workflows for improved efficiency and performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience in data transformation and manipulation.
  • Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and pipeline development.
  • Experience with Snowflake and data ingestion best practices.
  • Familiarity with data extraction from multiple sources.
  • Ability to standardize and format data according to predefined specifications.
  • Basic understanding of financial concepts to perform high-level validation checks.
  • Experience in data engineering and pipeline development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and optimize data ingestion processes.

What about languages? 

You will need excellent written and verbal English for clear and effective communication with the team. 

How much experience must I have? 

In order to thrive in this role, you must have at least 5+ years of experience in similar roles.
