About the role

As an AI Developer in the Power Platform squad, you design and implement intelligent automation solutions using RPA, Power Platform, and Copilot AI. You translate business needs into scalable AI-driven solutions, leveraging generative AI and automation to enhance efficiency and decision-making.

Collaborating with architects and stakeholders, you ensure secure, maintainable designs while mentoring junior developers and driving innovation in AI-powered automation.

Key Accountabilities

Development & Implementation:

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-driven solutions using Power Platform, with a focus on Copilot Studio and Power Virtual Agents.
• Build applications, workflows, and dashboards leveraging Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
• Integrate AI models, natural language processing (NLP), and large language models (LLMs) into chatbots and virtual assistants.
• Implement AI-powered automation using Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
• Optimize and refactor existing AI solutions to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Ensure seamless integration of AI and automation solutions with enterprise systems and external APIs.

Technical Collaboration:

• Collaborate with architects and product owners to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Participate in peer code reviews to ensure high standards of code quality.
• Work with stakeholders to identify process inefficiencies and design automation or low-code solutions to address them.

Quality Assurance:

• Conduct testing, debugging, and validation of AI solutions to ensure reliability and accuracy.
• Adhere to governance, compliance, and best practices for solution development.
• Ensure proper documentation for all solutions, including workflows, processes, and code.

Mentorship & Learning:

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers in the squad.
• Stay updated with emerging AI technologies, Copilot advancements, and Power Platform innovations.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops to enable adoption of AI solutions within the organization.

Operational Support:

• Monitor deployed solutions, resolve issues, and implement updates as required.
• Support incident management and root cause analysis for production issues.

Expectations, Experience & Knowledge

Technical Expertise:

• 4+ years of work experience, with 2+ years of experience in AI development, automation, or related fields.
• Strong expertise in Power Platform, particularly Copilot Studio and Power Virtual Agents.
• Hands-on experience with AI, machine learning (ML), NLP, and generative AI (e.g., OpenAI, Azure AI Services).
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform technologies (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse).
• Strong understanding of API integrations and enterprise system connectivity.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is a plus.

• Microsoft certifications in AI, Power Platform, or related technologies.
• Experience with chatbot design, conversational AI, and virtual assistant development.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with process mining tools (e.g., Celonis, Signavio).
• Proficiency in additional languages (preferably Dutch or French).
