The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President, Market Intelligence & Strategy, the Manager, Marketplace Intelligence will help support the Ad Sales Strategy team and broader sales organization in three ways by: 1) applying advanced analytical skills in analyzing advertising spend across the market to uncover opportunities and threats in ad spend; 2) creating, maintaining and inventing analytical approaches to forecasting aspects of the advertising market; 3) assisting in the creation and ongoing support of analytical reporting. The incumbent will help the team deliver unique and compelling insights and analytics to support the broader sales organization. Aiding strategic development of internal sales strategy, some responsibilities are but not limited to:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and optimize existing forecasting models
  • Proactively use data to generate captivating analytics and insights to support client communication and marketing strategies
  • Coordinate and collaborate across the organization to build compelling narratives in support external sales strategy
  • Procure, clean and ingest data for large scale analytic projects using advanced SQL techniques
  • Aid in procuring and testing new data sources
  • Create, test, and operationalize new analytic approaches
  • Develop knowledge of the entire NBCUniversal portfolio
  • Leverage macro and micro economic data to create new forecasting models and methods to uncover insights about the advertising market

Qualifications

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or similar field of study
  • Applied analytical experience and familiarity with statistical, econometric, or financial modeling
  • Applied experience in SQL and Python
  • 4+ of relevant experience (including internships)

Additional Requirements:

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
