What you’ll do at Scythe
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Supply Chain team. This Supply Chain internship role will provide an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data analytics, cost management, and process optimization within our supply chain operations. The intern will focus on tracking and analyzing supply chain costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction, and visualizing key performance metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
We expect you to thrive in a fast-paced, self-managed engineering environment, and to be a collaborative, low-ego teammate who helps Scythe realize its big mission.

- Assist in the collection, processing, and analysis of supply chain data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain visual dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to costs, supplier performance, inventory levels, and more.
- Support the creation of automated data pipelines and reporting tools to ensure efficient and accurate tracking of supply chain performance.
- Track and report on supply chain costs, including logistics, transportation, warehousing, and procurement expenses.
- Assist in the identification and analysis of cost drivers to find areas for potential savings.
- Work closely with the supply chain team to support cost-down initiatives, such as optimizing processes, negotiating better rates, and improving supplier relationships.
- Provide analytical support for special projects and ad hoc reporting requests as needed.
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, showcasing insights, findings, and recommendations.
What you know well
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Grafana is a plus.
- Familiarity with basic supply chain concepts and terminology (e.g., procurement, forecasting, logistics, inventory management).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
What you’ve maybe done
- Experience with statistical analysis or cost modeling.
- Experience with ERP systems
- Familiarity with data manipulation tools such as SQL or Python.
- Previous internship or project experience in supply chain, data analytics, or related fields is a plus.

Scythe carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including education, years of experience, competencies and other relevant business considerations. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary along with your compensation mode preferences. The Supply Chain Internship has an expected hourly amount of $20/hr. The actual pay may be higher depending on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Please note that this information is provided for those hired in Colorado only.
