Job Description

The Center for Applied Al in Protein Dynamics, located at Vanderbilt University, leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning to explore protein structures and their functional dynamics, driving innovations in drug discovery and disease understanding. The Oliver Laboratory, led by Carlos Oliver, focuses on integrating computational methods with experimental approaches to advance protein research.

  Duties and Responsibilities
 

• Design and implement deep learning models for protein 3D structure analysis.
• Develop innovative structure tokenization methods to improve function prediction accuracy.
• Collaborate with team members to build interpretable Al models for molecular structures.
• Analyze and validate results using computational and experimental data.
• Document findings and contribute to research publications or presentations
 

Qualifications

Master's degree (MSc) in Computer Science or a related field. Proven experience in deep learning model development.

Strong background in computer science and Al applications in molecular structures. Familiarity with protein 3D structure modeling and function prediction.

Proficiency in programming (e.g., Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch).

Experience with bioinformatics or computational biology tools. Knowledge of protein dynamics and structural biology concepts.

Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary research environment.
