Senior Software Engineer, Dataform

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
• 3 years of experience with API design and development for large-scale distributed systems.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience coding in Java or Kotlin.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for working across a wide range of technologies and to deliver new APIs, services, infrastructure, features and fixes to the Dataform platform and to our open-source projects.
• Work closely with leaders across multiple teams to define product and technical requirements that can support new features, functionality and improvements across BigQuery and Dataform products.
• Identify, propose and deliver improvements to processes, reliability, scalability, APIs and long term architecture that can support the team.
• Lead execution of critical workstreams across Dataform and BigQuery, planning, stakeholder management, and communication.
• Design, implement, and launch new products, features, and components with product excellence, technical quality, and at velocity.
