We are looking for a Data Analyst based in Ridderkerk. Perhaps you are our new colleague?
Your role
Each day presents new and complex challenges. We handle a variety of tasks and support each other in a friendly atmosphere. We answer questions such as: Can we assess the load of a fleet? Can we detect anomalies in components? Can we predict failures within a fleet?
Our team consists of a Data Scientist and several Fleet Support Center Officers. The latter are more involved with our customers and the translation of their needs. When advanced and complex programming is required, you will be engaged in those tasks. Currently, we are focused on creating data pipelines and collecting the necessary data for specific insight analyses. Once the work is completed, our Business Support Officer builds dashboards and assists in visually presenting our ideas to customers.
We operate within a multidisciplinary environment, working closely with various colleagues within Alstom, including business developers and different types of engineers. As a Data Analyst, you will not have direct contact with our customers—that responsibility falls to the Fleet Support Officers. Our team is flexible, energetic, and operates like a startup within the larger matrix organisation that is Alstom. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow. If you enjoy working with data, we have a wealth of information at your disposal—it's a true gold mine. As we have more tasks than personnel, your responsibilities will vary, providing you with diverse experiences.
Our team follows the Scrum methodology. When a request comes in from a customer, we break down the tasks, clean the data, perform our analysis, and ultimately visualise it. Our work is conducted in sprints, with tasks assigned to different team members. Collaboration is key; you will not be working in isolation. We require flexibility and agility, making iterative improvements as necessary. If you enjoy learning new concepts every day, you may be a great fit for our team.
