As a Senior Planning Engineer in the network demand forecasting role, your work will directly support downstream network planning and capital management functions.  You will work closely with partners across multiple organizations, exploring, identifying, and collecting data from internal and external sources. You’ll analyze data for trends and correlation to key deliverables or initiatives, leveraging your analytics knowledge and forecasting techniques to solve a variety of problems. You’ll prepare presentations to report your findings to various audiences including key stakeholders and senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities
• Database - Identify, access, and manipulate large data sets from various sources.
•  Modeling and Forecasting – Identify and procure required data, document assumptions, and analyze using methods such as time series statistical methods, machine learning, and simulation. Maintain and enhance existing forecast deliverables as well as ad-hoc one-time projections.
• Reporting -- Share insights with senior executives and other stakeholders via advanced visualization, Tableau, business intelligence/Power BI, and presentation tools.

Job Contribution:

Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math/Statistics, Engineering or Operations Research preferred.

Required Qualifications
•  2+ years experience in analytical roles; ability to use data to solve problems

Desired Qualifications

•  Experience in forecasting: time-series (ARIMA, Bayesian, hierarchical) and causal (regression, GARCH, machine learning, probabilistic programming)
• Familiarity in at least one programming language relevant to the field: advanced SQL, Python, R
• Exposure to cloud solutions: Snowflake and Databricks
• Working knowledge of the telecommunications network infrastructure.

Our Senior Network Planning Eng, earns between $105,600.00-$158,400.00 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
