Core Responsibilities

  • Provide regulatory context required to disposition data usage requests.

  • Maintains understanding of industry trends in data governance and provide guidance to leaders and peers on overall impact to local practices.

  • Drafts standards to translate policy requirements into actionable expectations.

  • Serves as a subject-matter expert for less tenured peers and crew in adjacent data management functions.

  • Manages mid-to-large sized data governance projects and initiatives. Accountable for the integration of results across divisional and program workstreams.

  • Updates and maintains data governance program tools and templates to ensure data integrity and availability. Supports and coordinates responses to elevated questions and issues.

  • Monitors the domain’s metrics measuring and overall program progress and effectiveness. Develops and identifies solutions to business, project, and program issues using research, design, and analytical reasoning

  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the data governance subject area, data quality, data management, or data architecture.

  • 5 years of general experience with progressively responsible work experience including successfully managing project(s) from beginning to end strongly preferred.

  • Deep knowledge of personal investor business including how data is created and used.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and maintains a professional presence. Proven ability to effectively communicate with external providers, internal business clients, and crew members at all levels.

  • Excellent judgment and ability to analyze issues quickly and independently to take appropriate action with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent, demonstrated problem identification, analysis, and resolution skills.

  • Flexibility, strong decision-making skills, and effective time management skills.

  • Detail oriented with a high level of energy. Proven self-starter with ability to work independently and within teams.

  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels in the organization. Ability to lead initiatives to desired conclusion.

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience required.
