We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support our growing data needs. The Data Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient collection, processing, and analysis of large datasets, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Design and Development: Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, transform, and store large volumes of structured and unstructured data from diverse sources.
Data Modelling: Develop and implement data models and schema designs to support business requirements, ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability.
Data Processing and Transformation: Implement data processing and transformation algorithms to clean, normalize, and enrich raw data for analysis and reporting purposes.
Data Integration: Integrate data from various internal and external sources, including databases, APIs, streaming platforms, and third party services, to provide a unified view of enterprise data.
Performance Optimisation: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in data pipelines and infrastructure, optimising data processing and query performance for maximum efficiency.
Data Quality Assurance: Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data across different stages of the data pipeline.
Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor the health and performance of data pipelines and infrastructure, proactively identifying and addressing issues to ensure uninterrupted data flow and availability.
Documentation and Best Practices: Document data engineering processes, standards, and best practices, and collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to industry-leading methodologies and standards.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with data analysts, data scientists and other stakeholders to understand data requirements, define data solutions, and deliver actionable insights that drive business outcomes.
What you will bring:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of data engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, and experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Apache Flink, or Apache Beam.
Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra), and data warehousing technologies (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).
Solid understanding of data modelling concepts, data warehousing architectures, and ETL processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and implement scalable data solutions to address complex business requirements.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
