We need an experienced data engineer like you to help our clients find answers in their big data to maintain and expand mission critical systems and support. 

This is an opportunity to support data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. As a member of our data team, you'll work closely with data scientists, data architects, system engineers, and clients to manage and enhance our data models, system interfaces, and customer services. From building ETL pipelines and data models, to leading the deployment and maintenance of scalable data platforms, you’ll guide your clients to solve their most pressing challenges.

You Have:   

• 3+ years of experience with data wrangling, warehousing, and database management technologies to build production datasets for analytics purposes

• 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Databricks

• 3+ years of experience building and maintaining data integrations with APIs

• Experience with full data processing pipeline from ingestion, transformation, storage, analysis, and visualization

• Experience developing and maintaining interfaces between data resources and analytics software applications

• Experience with programming using Python, R, SQL, or Java

• Ability to communicate data engineering issues and solutions to technical and non-technical audiences

• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance  

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in data engineering or software development, or Master’s degree and 8+ years of experience in data engineering or software development, or Doctorate degree and 6+ years of experience in data engineering or software development

Nice If You Have:   

• Experience as a member of the DoD or working closely with DoD clients, particularly the U.S. Air Force

• Experience with Air Force Envision or Palantir Foundry

• Experience with a DoD cloud architecture such as ADVANA or VAULTIS

• Secret clearance

• Cloud Platform Solutions Architect Certification such as AWS, Azure, or GCP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
