Job Description

The Execution Quant Developer will be tasked with developing and deploying passive & market making infrastructure and strategies aimed at enhancing execution performance in futures and equity markets.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and optimize code for performance using C++, with a focus on execution logic
  • Implement low-latency and high-frequency trading algorithms with efficient data structures
  • Develop connectivity with exchanges for market data and order handling
  • Work closely with the PM, quantitative researchers and developers to refine strategies and algorithmic performance across diverse asset classes
  • Stay current on state-of-the-art technologies and tools including technical libraries, computing environments and academic research
  • Work in a team environment, specifically collaborating across books and engaging with the whole investment process (portfolio construction, risk management, etc.)

Preferred Technical Skills

  • Bachelor, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or related STEM field
  • Strong proficiency in low-latency C++ programming with expert knowledge in market micro-structure and experience in developing execution algorithms
  • Expert knowledge in Linux environment, scripting language (Python, Bash) and computer networking

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in designing and implementing market making framework and strategies, including:
    • Deep understanding about L3 Order book dynamics
    • Familiarity with order state management
    • Exchange connectivity management (such as CME, EUREX, Equity Exchanges)
    • Order gateway management
  • Seasoned experience in algorithmic trading, or a similar area within the quantitative finance industry
  • A minimum of 3 years of working experience in the areas of high-frequency algorithm trading or market-making business
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in trading systems
  • Enthusiastic about staying at the forefront of quantitative trading technologies

Target Start Date

  • As soon as possible (Targeting 2025 start)

Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. The estimated base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $200,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
