Huawei's Munich Research Center is responsible for advanced technology research, architectural development, design and strategic engineering of our products.
The Advanced Wireless Technology Laboratory is responsible for beyond-5G research and prototyping on topics related to vertical industry use cases. In particular, we perform research, participate in industrial associations and standard bodies in the areas of next generation mobile communication system.

Intern for Design and Implementation of Multi-Agent Systems in Next-Generation Mobile Networks (m/f/d)
Your mission
- Design and development of multi-agent systems using the existing open-source frameworks (e.g., CrewAI, Autogen, LangGraph etc.) for use cases relevant for next-generation mobile networks
- Design and implement multi-agent communication mechanisms between AI agents and evaluate their advantages and disadvantages in practical deployment scenarios.
- Identify potential requirements for native integration of AI agents in future telecommunication systems based on the insights gained throughout implementation and system architecture design.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues from science and engineering backgrounds on research topics involving agentic AI, machine learning, wireless communications, and computer networking.
Requirements
- University student pursuing a BSc or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or other related disciplines with top performance.
- Good knowledge of computer networking, machine learning, and recent developments in agentic AI.
- Hands-on experience in popular open-source LLMs (e.g., GPT-3, Llama) and prompt engineering.
- Having solid programming skills in programming languages that are widely used in existing multi-agent frameworks is strongly preferred (e.g., Python).
- Fluent in Business English.
- Having peer-reviewed scientific publications is a plus.
