Essential Responsibilities:

Data Collection, Analysis, and Reporting:

  • Collect, clean, and analyze data from various internal and external sources to provide actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support decision-making and performance tracking.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to enhance organizational efficiency and program effectiveness.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security in alignment with organizational policies and compliance standards.

Performance Measurement and Program Support:

  • Build solutions to automate key performance indicator (KPI) tracking and reporting to evaluate program success and impact.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop process improvement strategies and data-driven outcome measurement frameworks.
  • Provide data-driven support for grant applications, donor reports, and strategic initiatives.

Data Governance and Management:

  • Oversee master data management, including data creation, updates, and decommissioning.
  • Establish data validation processes to ensure consistency and reliability.
  • Manage user roles and permissions to maintain data security.

Technical Expertise and System Optimization:

  • Build, support and enhance Ascentria’s data warehouse by identifying and refining reporting requirements.
  • Evaluate, test, and implement new data tools and system upgrades to improve analytics capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot database and reporting issues, ensuring continuous system optimization.

Data-Driven Culture:

  • Train end-users on new reports, dashboards, and data visualization tools.
  • Stay current with data analytics tools and best practices to enhance analysis capabilities.
  • Mentor junior analysts, program managers, and directors, fostering a data-driven culture across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, R, or SQL) for data manipulation and automation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of data governance best practices and methodologies for managing large-scale databases.
  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations or impact-driven programs is a plus.

  SCHEDULE: Hybrid (3 days in office) M-F

TRAVEL REQUIRED:  As needed
